- 4 cups water
- 3-4 teaspoons loose green tea (preferably gunpowder tea)
- 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
- Sugar to taste
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a teapot or saucepan
Allow the water to cool for about 2 minutes after boiling.
Add 3-4 teaspoons of loose green tea to the pot.
Wash and gently bruise a bunch of fresh mint leaves to release their flavor.
Add the bruised mint leaves to the pot with the green tea.
Allow the tea to steep for 3-4 minutes, being careful not to over-steep.
While the tea is steeping, prepare your serving glasses.
Strain the tea into the glasses to remove the tea leaves and mint leaves.
