Ingredients
  

For the Churros

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • - Vegetable oil for Frying
  • 1/2 cup of sugar for coating
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional for coating

For the Chocolate Sauce

  • 4 ounces dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon sugar

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

  • Boil water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil.
  • Add flour and stir until a smooth dough forms.

Pipe the Dough:

  • Transfer the dough dough to a piping bag with a star-shaped nozzle.
  • Be sure to heat the oil in a sturdy pot until it's hot enough for Frying.

Fry the Churros:

  • Pipe dough into the hot oil, cutting with scissors.
  • Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Drain the food on paper towels.

Coat the Churros:

  • Roll warm churros in a sugar-cinnamon mixture.

Make the Chocolate Sauce:

  • Heat milk until steaming.
  • Mix cornstarch and sugar, then whisk into milk.
  • Add the chocolate and stir until it has melted and become smooth.
  • Adjust consistency with additional milk if needed.
